Rehabilitation with Chiropractic and Therapy

Your first appointment will be no different from the usual consultation and evaluation. You will be asked specific questions related to your particular sport or even to demonstrate some movements. Your diagnosis and treatment plan will be assessed and treated within the scope of our certifications and experience. Treatment may include, but is not limited to, Stretching, Weight or Band Strengthening, Resistance Training, Core Exercises, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF Stretching), Extremity Adjusting/Manipulation, Modalities and other Manual Therapies as needed. Our goals are to promote anatomical rest, diminish muscle spasm, to reduce inflammation, to restore motion and to alleviate pain.

Dr. Goodman also works with a variety of other health care professionals as needed. These may include, but are not limited to, your family primary care provider/medical doctor, medical specialists including orthopedic and neurology physicians, physical therapists, nutritionists, Chinese Medical Doctors and Acupuncturists/Acupuncture, personal trainers, and even yoga gurus or specialists!

Throughout treatment and when you are ready for discharge, you will receive a personalized home exercise program to allow you to stay healthy and further enhance your rehabilitation.

At our office we don’t hesitate to refer out when necessary and make sure we acquire diagnostic tests or evaluations that are necessary including, but not limited to, MRI, CT, X-Ray, Ultrasound and DEXA Scans (DXA).

For complaints including, but not only:

  • Overuse and Repetitive Stress Injuries
  • Sprain and Strain injuries to the soft tissues including muscles, ligaments, and tendons
  • Hip, Knee, Ankle and Foot Injuries
  • Shoulder, Elbow, Hand, and Wrist Injuries
  • Frozen Shoulder, Rib Misalignment, Carpal Tunnel, Tennis Elbow

 

Dr. Goodman has personal experience with injuries due to sports and activities! He holds a Black Belt in Chinese American Kempo and continues to train in the martial arts. He is also a competitive racquetball player, has regular attendance at the gym and a professional drummer.
